Dr. Stephanie Cai earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. Cai received extensive clinical training at the Veterans Affairs hospitals in Arizona and Southern Oregon, ophthalmology tertiary referral centers in New Jersey, and the Meredith Morgan Eye Center at UC Berkeley. Her training included emphasis in treatment and co-management of glaucoma, retinal vascular diseases and anterior segment pathology. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), California Optometric Association (COA), and holds an active board position on the Santa Clara County Optometric Society. She has traveled to Nicaragua for medical mission trips and hopes to make many more in the future. Dr. Cai is certified in the treatment of glaucoma and the fitting of Paragon CRT lenses. She enjoys practicing full-scope evidence-based optometry and strives to enhance all of her patients’ lives by providing the highest quality of vision care. Dr. Cai is fluent in Cantonese and is proficient in optometric Spanish. Outside of the exam room, you can often find Dr. Cai trying new restaurants and boba shops in the area, or spending quality time with her husband and Siberian cat Rapunzel.
